"Improving student achievement in Saskatchewan is a key priority of the Saskatchewan Party government."
In his mandate letter to Minister of Education Donna Harpauer, the Premier charged the Ministry of Education with:
"Cultivating an environment throughout the education system that fosters greater student performance and achievement..."
"Developing a strategy to support higher student achievement in mathematics, reading and science to a level equal to the Canadian standardized average."
Premier Wall also said that a key priority of the Ministry is to:
"Develop a long-term PreK-12 infrastructure strategy."
School boards agree with the Premier.
Improving student achievement is the number one priority of Saskatchewan's boards of education.
Many factors contribute to student achievement, including effective instruction and safe and healthy learning environments.
The Saskatchewan School Boards Association is currently working to provide shared leadership with the Minister and Ministry of Educaiton to address the issue of student achievement and education infrastructure strategy."

They are interested in student achievement. Maybe they should stop sharing the internet bandwidth with Justice and Health Care so that when I go to use the internet with a class it actually works!
That is so true, if we want education in Saskatchewan to be cutting edge...high bandwidth connection to the internet should be the first thing we fight for...:)
