GSCS Job Opening - Information Technology (IT)

Applicants are invited for the position of Manager - Information Technology.  Duties will commence April 16, 2012 or later by mutual agreement.

This leadership position will provide an exciting challenge for candidates who possess strong technology, human relations, communication, planning and project management skills.

Under the direction of the designated Learning Services Superintendent the information technology management shall:

• Demonstrate leadership in developing and implementing corporate IT direction.
• Demonstrate Leadership in the planning, coordination and implementation of IT initiatives.
• Oversee and ensure systems integrity.
• Directly supervise and manage the IT team.
• Develop and monitor the IT budget.

Required qualifications for the position include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• A minimum of eight years of successful related experience.
• Experience with WAN systems and telecommunication technology.

In addition, preference may be given to candidates with training in project management, Microsoft Certification and experience in the education sector.
